16 Jan 2006 | Have mud, must 4WD

Water, mud, hills, trenches and “a couple of ‘sidlings’” will guarantee a great show for four-wheel-drive enthusiasts at the 2006 National Motor Show.
Four-wheel drive coordinator Archie Griffin said that “plenty of revs and wheel-spinning” will ensure it’s a must-see for visitors at the event, 17-19 March.

Six vehicles will be coordinated for 45-minute demonstrations held throughout the three-day event. All demonstrations will be fully commentated and will take place on a purpose-built course at Mystery Creek Events Centre.

The team of professional drivers include current number-one female driver Linda Griffin in a four-cylinder. The other 4WD vehicles in the demonstration will be a mixture of four-cylinder and 5.7-litre super-modified V8 Lexus-powered Landcruisers.

For more information about the 4WD demonstrations, see www.nzmotorshow.co.nz or contact demonstrations coordinator Amie Woods on 07 843 4497, email amiew@mysterycreek.co.nz
